Engagement Gift Ideas | New Jersey Wedding Photographer

So, here we are. The dust has settled after everyone and their mom just got engaged over the holidays. Pretty soon, the engagement party invites will start rolling in. Or perhaps you will be meeting up with your friend to toast her new eye candy...so what on earth do you get her?! The registry is always an option, but there are those bridesmaid-worthy friends who you'd like to do something a bit more personal. Hopefully my round up of items can help you sort out the direction you'd like to take.

A really great rule of thumb is to gift them something that they can use on their wedding day or while planning the wedding. Another great idea is something nostalgic about the day she first met her future husband, or the moment he proposed. For instance, when I opened up the personalized forks from my bridesmaid Dayna which were inscribed with my wedding date, I LOST IT. As in, I bawled my eyes out. I hadn't even cried when Brian proposed to me! But for some reason, those stupid forks made me well up because it was the first time I saw my wedding date written out...the first time getting married felt REAL. And if all else fails, a bottle of bubbly always does the trick. Happy gift hunting girls! xo jessa
